: Hi, i have 2 canaries a male and a female and i wanted to ask about Spectrum lights, we bought one but i dont want to put it on them unless i know it is ok for them, the type we have is a 60 watt spot incandescent, full specturm daylight heat lamp.
: any tips? will this be ok for them or not? we live in a basement so the birds need something like this and i have read that it helps with breeding and i am sure it would help with their health considering they dont get much natural light.
: also, we have red factors and our males colour has faded a bit in the past few months, if there are any tips on how to help his colour get back to its original brightness i would appreciate that.
: and our male is a bit fluffed a lot of the time, i have heard that can mean he is sick and so have an appointment with the vet, any comments on what that could be? he is active and eats well and sings all is normal except he is a little fluffed a lot of the time.
