: My dad was cutting a tree and he found a nest with two baby birds in it.We have watched the birds for a day now and the mother is nowhere to be found.I would like to know what kind of bird this is and what he eats.
: They are gray with some light green on there back and a long beak of about a inch.THANKYOU

Hello Stephanie:
I wish I could give you a definite answer about these birds.

I would be guessing but I think most wild birds will eat worms or maybe if you went to a wild bird store they could advise you about what to feed these babies.

Are you sure the Mother bird or Father bird is not feeding them and are they crying for food.

If they are not being fed find a wild bird store and explain to them about these birds and describe them as best you can and maybe they can give you the proper food.

I wish you the best of luck and I do hope you are able to save these little babies.
Please let me know what happens.
Grace
