I am concerned about one of my female parakeets. She is almost 5 years old and just recently started laying eggs. She has layed 16 eggs since october and we are concerned about her age. She started laying eggs when we got the new bird in the house he is a male but the man at the bird shop stated that the bird was to young to fertilize the eggs, so we got rid of them. Our concern is that our female is not strong enough to keep laying the eggs. We have seperated the two birds to see if that would help but she keeps laying eggs. What can we do to stop it to give her body a break?
