<font face=arial size=2>: I've recently learned that there is a good reason the literature advises against purchasing birds at pet stores or bird shows. I recently purchased 2 canaries at a bird show. I took them to the vet to have their leg bands removed and discovered that one of the birds was 5 years old!! Evidently, some breeders unload old birds this way. She's a sweet bird; however I think she has the beginning to kidney disease and I don't expect to have her a long time. :(</font>
