I just purchased a white male American Singer. I was told by the breeder that he might not start singing until Nov. I was told he is 10 months old, he is not banded. I have not heard him sing at all and was wondering if a recording of other canaries is needed to teach him to sing, or if it is better to trade him in for a different singing male. He is a beautiful pure white with black eyes, very pretty thats why I bought him! He is very active, even tears off pieces of the paper towel on the cage floor, could this mean he is a female wanting to make a nest?
