My Mom crossed a red factor with dark yellow, five chicks were hatched. One is dark yellow, the other four all have brown, yellow and white color. Since she has one yellow chick she must have one completely recessive chromosome. That means the brown and red factor genes are all on the other chromosome. If she continues to cross the red/brown chicks back to yellow mates what are the chances of getting red chicks? Will she likely ever be able to seperate the red from the brown? And finally, will she ever likely get an Apricot from the line?
