Of course, the most important number on the band is the year. There also may be the initials of the issuing organization. Besides that, the other numbers are just unique codes -- like a social security number -- so that individual birds can be identified. You can post the entire band number here. Somebody might recognize the name of the club. Though there are national avicultural organizations, I'm not aware of any central registry. : Is there a registry for canaries that this number can be traced to? : Thanks |
