Hello:
I really don't know too much about Lorikeets but I have heard that if you want to teach a bird to talk you have to say word over and over to the bird until the bird picks up the words.

A friend of mine has 2 pet starlings that rescues from the outside and they just picked up the words used in the home. I don't know if this would work with Lorikeets or not.

You could do a search on the internet on Lorikeets and you may find a site that tells you something about them.
