The problem is the male, he sometimes goes over and pulls a soft feather off of the female while she is sitting and he has even pulled out some nesting material. Is this normal? I have searched my canary handbook but can't find anything on this situation...any info would be GREATLY appreciated.</font></font> <font face=arial size=2>: Hello: I am not a breeder either but if he continues to pull her feathers out you may have to keep them in separate cage side by side.</font> <font face=arial size=2>: You can always put him back in to help feed the babies after they are hatched a few days. </font> <font face=arial size=2>: Keep a watch on them and if necessary separate them again.
