: I have a red factor male who sings. I recently purchased a crested female with red factor heritage from a breeder, she is a bit bigger than the male red factor. They both practice feeding each other and both take turns in the nest. However the "female" mounts the male more frequently than the male mounts her. Is this normal copy cat behaviior or is she just dominant or could the "female" be male? When I remove her from the cage the red factor male sings to get her back and the crested female doesn't sing just peeps. Whats your take? I don't really know why the female would mount the male as far as I know it should be the oppisite although the female is usually the boss. |
