I have a red factor male who sings. I recently purchased a crested female with red factor heritage from a breeder, she is a bit bigger than the male red factor. They both practice feeding each other and both take turns in the nest. However, the "female" mounts the male more frequently than the male mounts her. Is this normal copy cat behavior or is she just dominant or could the "female" be male? When I remove her from the cage the red factor male sings to get her back and the crested female doesn't sing, just peeps. Whats your take?
