: I have a young canary that has developed to growths on its feet. Both are on the middle toe, and appear to be filled with blood.: Prior to this the canary seemed to only stand on one leg at a time (not particularly favoring any one). He seems happy and is still singing, but I don't know how serious this problem is. He is housed with another canary that doesn't have any problems. Hello Allyson: You should bring him to a good Avian Vet as that could be a problem with his feet. Also is the other bird you have him with a male. If it is you should separate them. I am surprised he is singing because when you house 2 males together they will not sing too much. Also 1 usually becomes dominant and grabs food first and is the boss in the cage. Males like their own space and are much happier that way. If it is a male and female they should be showing signs that they are getting ready to breed. Either way get your bird to a Vet and if they are both males of if you do not want to breed them separate them. Good Luck and pleast keep us posted. Grace
