I felt bad for my male canary being alone in the cage and a pet shop sold me a female to join the male. I am not interested in breeding, but with a nest in the cage 5 eggs were laid within 3 weeks together, all infertile when checked by light 16 days after she sat on them. we took the nest out and the couple seems to be very upset and confused. what should I do? I only wanted two birds together. should I give one away and have the male alone? I don't want two cages. I was afraid two males would fight. Will the couple get back to normal or try to breed constantly? any advise? I was originally trying to get my male to sing more and worried about lonliness. any advise?
