: I am a first time novice. We bought two canaries for our son for his birthday and within two months the female had built a nest in the seed bin and laid four eggs. Three of the four hatched and both mum and dad were doing a wonderful job. Then, after about 10 days, they stopped feeding them and all three died.
: Now mum and dad are at it again and she is in the process of building another nest!
: Please help, I don't want to lose any more little ones...

Here's some things to check:
1) Improper nestling food.
2) Nestling food was spoiled
3) Mite and/or lice infestation -- spray the birds, nest, cage, and surrounding area with a avian pyrethrin insecticide.
4) Mice in the room disturbed the birds.
5) People bothering the birds
6) Improper lighting schedule
7) Lights or noises during the night disturbing the parents
