: Hi, The same thing happened to me back in the Spring. I just happened to catch what was going on by just being in the right place at the right time. I was watching Mom turn the egg and as she was turning it it rolled up and to the edge of the nest. I happened to save that one. I took the nest out and deepened it with my fingers so the eggs were further down in the nest. End of the problem. I eventually bought a finch nest and cut the little roof off and that worked out much better. Hope this helps.
