calcification growth on lower part of beak

My cockatiel is getting very old (12 human years) and she keeps developing a very long beak. I have lava rocks, cuttle bones, etc. I resort to cutting it back to its nearly normal length. The real problem I see is a growth on each side of her lower beak (jaw) that looks like a calcification. I can trim some of this, but I don't want to hurt her. Is there something at the pet store I can get?
