: my dove has been getting sick over the past few days, most of his tailfeathers have fallen out and the feathers around his head are falling out. i just started putting vitamins in its food today hoping it would get better, is there any thing eles i can do? it has been very hot latly and i keep my doors closed to the Air Conditioning wont make him sick but today i opened the windows (its in the 80's) to air out the room in case its the stuffyness as well, ive cleaned the cage reacently too. could it be bacteria doing this? i also havent been able to spend a lot of time with him due to work so can he make himself sick because im not around as much? the feather loss is near the beak at the crown of the head and a line down the neck and all the tail feathers except for two have fallen (or he may have pulled them out). is there any thing i can do about this?
