I feed my parrots Zupreem pellets, Lafeber pellets, and Roudybush pellets, and a small amount of fresh food daily. They get unlimited veggies, a tiny amount of fruit occasionally, and maybe a small piece of whole grain bread, or other grains, cooked beans, rice, pasta etc. a few times a week. An 80% pelleted diet is recommended by most vets to avoid fatty liver disease and other symptoms of malnutrition in birds. Amazons are prone to obesity, so a seed diet isn't a good idea for him especially There are many pellets on the market, and birds have preferences, so whatever brand you can get them to eat is the best brand! I found Zupreem to be the most palatable. I have had over 100 birds come through my bird rescue, and have converted them all off of an all-seed diet and onto pellets, and the Zupreem is the most well liked by my birds.
